While loading G26 mags, as soon as I load rounds 9 & 10 the mag will rattle. It doesn't rattle with rounds 1-8, just 9 & 10. Tried this with 3 different mags and both ball & HP ammo. Anyone else notice this?

Sometimes the rounds don't stack right and rattle in many mags. I have had 15 rd Sig mags, 1 of my CZ P01 mags does it, and some of my Mec Gar Sig P226 mags do it.
To get it to stop rattling, smack the mag on your hand a few times sideways. I have always smacked the back of mags against my hand out of habit. Now I smack it sideways a few times, then on the back, rattle is gone. Then I know all rounds are seated properly. I have never had a failure from the mags though, rattle or no, but I also found it very annoying.
Edit: I have noticed it happens with the Hornady Duty Max more than ball or Speer Gold Dots. But it seems to do it more with the Hornady.
If my explanation sucks, I can do a quick video explaining how to get it to stop.Last edited by LOVMUFN; 05-12-2016, 1:07 PM.Comment

As long as the mags work who cares. They don't make enough noise to give away position or be loudComment

Your gun and mags are broken, just send it my way and I will dispose of it properly.

Yea, slap the back of it (with the round count holes) against the palm of your hand after loading a few , load a few more, slap, etc.
You can also tap it against your surplus Viet Nam era helmet which looks cooler but annoys the wife while she's watching Doc Martin.Comment

A couple of my g19 15rd (10rd DON'T for me), some of my beretta mags rattle and a couple of my 8rd 1911 mags do it. They all work 100% so I try not to let it get to me.
I've taken them apart and can't figure out what it is. I believe my 10rd Glocks don't rattle because the rounds take 500 lbs of force to get them in there. Too much pressure to rattle lol.Comment
