For anyone who has been waiting for Ed Brown to offer their new "Special Forces" 1911 for California, it has been certified for sale (aka, approved), and shoud appear on the California DOJ roster in a week or two. Travis Brown just let me know about this, and their web site already states that a California-certified version, with ambidextrous safety, is available. See: http://www.edbrown.com/

How the heck did ol' Ed get around the loaded chamber indicator requirement? I'm glad to see another Brown available here. It's not really my cup of tea, but Ed Brown told me six months ago that he wouldn't submit any more guns for CA approval. Glad to see he changed his mind.Comment

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Oh my goodness!!!This is great news because I been searching the web sites and was thinking about purchasing a Ed Brown Executive Target. It was either Ed Brown or a Wilson and now its become that much more easier. Plus from what I have read Ed Brown makes all his own custom parts.

Hey! Doc Lunde is back! I've missed you (and your photos).
Actually, 2K for a semi-custom isn't too bad.
