    Hints on Zev Kit Issues

I have a Gen 3 Glock 23. I had a Zev trigger kit installed by a Glock Armorer and it worked great for 800 rounds or so. Then, out of the blue, I started getting light primer strikes 10-15% of the time.

I took the gun to the LGS where I bought the Zev kit and they recommended replacing the Zev striker spring with a stock Glock spring.

I haven't had the chance to shoot the gun to check functionality - but the trigger is only marginally better than stock now.

Any ideas on what I can do to return it to reliable functioning with nice trigger?

BTW - the LGS could not have been better - changed the spring for free and only charged me $4 for the part.

Spring broke in and exerting less force. I had a similar issue with the light safety plunger spring not fully resetting the safety when you let go of the trigger shoe, if you don't fire off a round.

Best advise I can give is stop wasting money with these aftermarket triggers.

Try shooting it again. If it is only marginally better than stock now, sell it and buy some ammo. You'll have a lot more fun with a functioning gun vs a non-functioning gun with a tricked out trigger. Those Zev triggers were pretty nice though.

After market kits by apex tactical are amazing on my m&p are amazing. The zev kit on my glock 19 was not impressive at all.

Can you be more specific about the "kit". Zev has a lot of kits. What specific parts are we talking? What ammo did you use when you experienced failures?

Did you have the lightweight titanium striker installed as well?

All of the spring kits are a trade off. The TT kit is lighter but has more takeup and less clean break
