    Hi Point C9

Well, this just happened. I'll preference by stating that I didn't clean the gun before I took it to the range this morning. Oops, my bad.
I don't want to say, 'you get what you pay for', but this thing got me frustrated today.
First 16 rounds, one FTF. Not bad. Then SHTF. Next 16 rounds, every other round, FTF. No joke. At one point the slide kept getting stuck and I couldn't even rack to try and clear the gun. It took some banging to finally get it to clear. The last mag, 34 rounds later, a round got stuck in the throat? of the barrel...

Any advice or thoughts before I tear this thing apart and grab a pair of pliers???

The gun felt comfortable to grip. The ergonomics are decent. Very top heavy, so the barrel wanted to nosedive when I pulled up to shoot. The sights are red dot rear and a yellow dot front, odd but whatever. I don't like the safety much. It's tiny and can be difficult to access, I can see large hands or meaty paws having lots of trouble. And then racking the slide is like a tug of war, it needs to be pulled waay back and with muscle.
I'll end on a positive note. When it did fire the gun was accurate. There was very little recoil.

How many rounds did you shoot it, without cleaning?

First time taking it out. But I bought it used. First 16 rounds, 8 WWB and 8 Blazer, 115gr. Next 16 rounds, Arsenal Outfitters, reloads, 124gr. Next 18, Mix WWB and Blazer again.

I did the same thing on my c9 when I picked it up I went straight to the range and shoot it and it also jammed like that but after 200 rds finally smooth out.

Looks Brand new, strip it down inspect it for any build up, if it looks clean inside then prob just needs a couple hundred to break in. I have one I admit it lol and when all else fails you can throw the gun at someone and still knock them out. Hate the hiPoint field strip as you need to take out the rear roll pin

The only reason I didn't field strip. The one time I didn't take my tools I get a jam like this.

Should be easy to clear indeed.

Take it apart and clean it good. One more reason to carry a few tools when headed to the range.

I had problems with my C-9 & after a couple of months of trying different fixes I sent it back to Hi-point. Customer Services was great, return time was quick & the pistol shoots great now.

So I tried removing the round with pliers, then a flathead and finally decided I'll just remove the slide, not understanding the internals of this gun.

I do not recommend this at all!! The firing pin hit the round and it discharged the bullet into two mattresses.

At least no one is hurt except the mattresses.

Not my home but yeah. I started in the back yard, then ended up on the side yard near the garage. No one around, 55acre property. But I shat my pants when it went off.

So some step in removing the slide on those releases the cocked firing pin without pulling the trigger? That could have ended really bad.
