Picked this guy up a couple weeks ago but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Thought I'd throw up some initial impressions anyway.
first thing I noticed was that I really hated the sights. They are almost GI 1911 bad. Grabbed the tactical rear and fiber optic front from CZ Custom and installed them myself. I will admit, I dinged up the slide a little bit, but that's what comes with the territory I guess. However the sight picture is worlds better now, so no complaints.
Dry fire has revealed limited impressions to me. Grip feels a little chunky but not a big deal, actually fits my 1911-loving hands really well. It feels "pointable", very natural feeling. The trigger is extremely light right out of the box, but the pull is kind of long. The reset is a little long too, but overall I'm impressed with the stock trigger. It is cleaner than my stock Springfield 9mm Target 1911, long but less squishy than a stock Glock trigger (apples to oranges I know but still). Doesn't have the positive break of a good 1911, but very smooth on the pull.
Anyway, a real fair impression will come after I've had a chance to shoot it. For now, enjoy the 'tater pic
