Through out some suggestions, please!

I checked out the Kimber TLE II at Sportsman Supply today. Seemed to feel nice. Rails made it slightly heavy, which I kind of liked.

Also, prefer night sights over target sights. I may use this for home defense instead of the G17.

don't limit yourself to a budget only to end up making upgrades and cost you more in the end. save up for a custom 1911 such as wilson combat, ed brown or les baer. i paid $1300 for my les baer premier II!

I picked mine up a couple weeks ago and have ~400 rounds thru it with no problems at all. Love love love it!
