    S&W 27-2 & Hi-Power

I am so happy right now, I just bought my first revolver today. It is a smith and Wesson model 27-2 with a six inch barrel in that beautifully high gloss blue and wood stocks. I paid $450+$35 DROS which, i think was a steal. Ive seen these pistols go for $700-900 on gunbroker. Plus while i was doing the DROS me and the seller were BSing when i told him i was looking to get a Hi-Power to which he replied he had a slightly used PT 9mm +4mags he would sell me for $475. So besides bragging about the Smith i was wondering if you HI-Power guys thought $475 was a good price for a PT Hi-power?

    S&W Model 27

Congratulations... Fantastic buys...Old guns are the best!! That huge cylinder with those small chambers is great, and very comforting for those hot loads. I've been looking at the new PC 627-5 but can't get past the saftey lock, stainless steel, lack of checkering on barrel rib etc. etc. I've been looking for the past 15 years for a 27 pinned, recessed and 3.5" barrel!

What does the PT stand for?

Seems like a decent price. I was shocked to discover FN has discontinued the 9mm Hi-Power. Now I gotta find one used.

Maybe "PT" means Portugese? After all.. Made in Belgium, assembled in Portugal.
