barrel length determination

Does anyone know what the DOJ standards are for determining barrel length for pistols? Is the chamber and throat area considered for overall barrel length in a pistol with no revolving cylinder?

I have combed through all I can find regarding "barrel length" and cannot find how they determine what it is.

Pistols include the chamber, revolvers only the barrel.

for non-revolvers, ATF measures from the closed breach face to the muzzle end of the barrel. I'm sure that CADOJ measures the same way.
