I picked up a bunch of this in 09. Has anybody ran this stuff? I can't see anywhere on the box if it's corrosive . I can't remember also if it said it was or not when I bought it . Any help would be great .

Hungarian 9mm ammo

Never seen it before... can't be that bad...
Just have to clean lot more when shooting cheap ammo. -
I only shot their 7.62x39 ammo. People on AKFiles say the 7.62x39 is just relabelled Barnaul Silver Bear. Get your magnet out. Is the projectile magnetic? Is it steel case?
I'm not particular when it comes to x39 as I treat any unknown ammo as corrosive. But with dropping 9mm ammo prices, I can afford being choosy and stick with brass case factory ammo in my "good" guns.sigpic
The wife will be pissed, but Jesus always forgives.Comment

I fired 7.62x39 from MFS too. No complaints.Comment

Like I said I bought it in 09. Ammo shortage was already in affect . It's 124 grain lead core FMJ / brass case .I only shot their 7.62x39 ammo. People on AKFiles say the 7.62x39 is just relabelled Barnaul Silver Bear. Get your magnet out. Is the projectile magnetic? Is it steel case?

My recent Fiocchi 9mm purchase from Cabela's is made in Hungary. They look decent quality from the outside. They should be ok.Comment

I bought a case of MFS .45acp from Cabelas a few years back. Shot great and felt a little hotter than most bulk brass cased 45's
Here's the reviews from Cabelas for the MFS 9mm. Didn't read it all but it looks like some reviewers reported problems with the 9mm

Thanks for the info. Those reports were horrible. This info is pertaining to MFS 2000. My ammo has no markings of that kind. Im gonna just have to run some and see what happens. I know the order I placed with Cabelas was for the "MFS 2000" in 45acp
My 20 boxes of MFS 45acp looked just like your box of 9mm but in 45acp.
I'm confident your 9mm is also the "MFS 2000" but there is a chance I could be wrong.Comment

Im gonna go back and read the reports. Looking for dates this time. My ammo is from 09. Possibly a different batch . Thanks againComment

The MFS 45acp I bought from Cabela's years ago shot fine, did seem a little hot but I didn't chrono it. Shot 200-300rds (can't remember exactly) without issue.
