G17 and G19 grip question...

I know both grips are 1.18" thick, and I know that the G19 grip is about 12mm shorter than the G17 grip. When you look at pictures of these 2 guns from the side, the G19 grip looks fatter from the backstrap to the trigger side of the grip, whereas the G17 looks thinner in this area. In other words, it looks like the 17 would be easier for a woman to grip and hold. Is the distance from the backstrap to the front of the trigger the same on these 2?

From my understanding the length are the same, but in a few days I'll pick up my G23 from the 10 days jail and I'll measure them both and may be take a picture for you.

No, the distance from the backstrap to the front of the trigger are the same. The main difference is that the G19/23 will squeeze the middle-pinky fingers (ideal for smaller hands) and the G17/35 will allow some room between the fingers.

Meaning that the finger grooves are spaced closer together on the 19, if you needed a translation.

Not custom made, straight from the factory. You have a choice of Black or OD Green (available in US only).

Ok, so that's "OD GREEN".
Looks almost Desert Tan in color.
I like it a lot.


I think my next will be Glock19 in OD Green.

Is the grip size of the G23 the same as the G19? My wife has trying to compare again today, and the only one available to hold was the G23. She said it felt big.
