#1 - what do you already have?

#2 - just wear it on a holster around the house.

I would get a gun I feel comfortable shooting sideways. Very important when you're on the shi**er.

Shotgun. The cleanup will be a mess but at least you're in the bathroom already. Under a 100$ seems average for Hi Points' 9mm.
I see your swartz is as big as mine, now let's see how well you handle it

I just carry around house and it doesn't leave my side.

If you want your firearm to save your life, does that extra money really matter?

You should put it in a ziplock bag so you can keep it in the shower. If it's in a ziplock bag it should be waterproof

Do you know what a Hi point and # 2 have in common?

First off, a little punctuation never hurt anyone.

Secondly, regardless of what room or what "situation" you might find yourself in, your self defense needs don't change. Get an acceptably accurate firearm that will reliably feed and fire hollow point ammunition and just carry it with you when you answer nature's call.

Thirdly, the Hi-Point pistol in .40 S&W isn't on the CA Approved Handgun Roster and I doubt you want to pay off roster price premiums for one. If you want to try a .40 to see if it's right for you, I'd suggest going to a range and renting one.

just get a good quality pelican case - waterproof and airtight. Put whatever you want in there.
