Before I start, please don't tell me the only solution is to throw it out the window or get rid of it. Lol.
So little info, purchased gen3 glock 22 new about 3 months ago, put about 1500+ rounds thru it. Decided to shoot 9mm so I recently purchased a lone wolf conversion barrel and upgraded the lone wolf guide rod assembly.
After installation I noticed the slide was not being fully racked forward. It was off a little, all I'd have to do is push it forward with little force. Shot about 200 rds of 9mm and it was fine. Took it out today and it had a failure to fire once every 10-20 rounds. It would chamber, but when I pulled the trigger it didn't quite feel like the mechanism was reset all the way.
Swapped out the barrel backed to the oem .40 cal. Kept the lone wolf guide rod assembly and sure enough it was the same issue. Swapped out the guide rod assembly and it was fine for another 100-200 rounds. I also noticed both tines when I changed the barrel, the lone wolf rod assembly wasn't sitting correctly on the barrel.
I would like to know how many of you guys have experienced this, is it some bad parts I got, is there such thing as a break in period for the new guide rod assembly, is there a fix, or simply, what should I do?
Thanks in advance!
