I have a weird desire to make a punisher 1911. Right now I'm thinking of using an SA loaded as the base and sending it to SACS (yes, I know they are colts in the movie). Bonus points if it is in 9mm for something different.

    Nope.

Since 1968, Federal laws requires markings/engravings to be on firearms that are commercially available (not made for personal ownership).

CA laws requires markings/engravings on all handguns that are transferred.

I think the closest you could get is a Guncrafter No Name pistol , its got that minimalist engraving look you are aiming for

You could buy a 1911, and have a Caspian slide with no markings fitted to your frame.

Bleh, I had a feeling this would be. I don't feel like taking higher end pistols and spending money to stupify them. I just wanted something silly to add a compensator to, maybe a punisher engraving on the back, and chrome the small parts. Oh well, maybe I will still go with the loaded.

Since rock island changed there's it might be one of the smallest roll marks to come on a stock pistol. Shouldn't be to hard to get rid of either.

Seems like there was a thread some months back where somebody did a Punisher themed Rock Island, and had most of the roll marks filled/removed.

Do an 80% with that slide DSB posted. Thats the only way to get one with no marks whatsoever.

I had Wilson Combat make a 1911 for me with no markings. I prefer the naked slide look.

Ohh I like. But I think I'd feel weird putting punisher markings on an actually nice 1911 like a Wilson (I want to do a marking with the punisher logo behind the rear slide cuts)

If I was going to do what you have planned, the cheapest route would be to buy a Rock Island Armory, and sand off the markings on the slide. You cannot legally alter the serial number on the frame.

I'm not messing with the frame, for exactly that reason. I'm only going for a bare slide, or one that only have .45 caliber on it. I don't want the company name or front cocking serrations, or any other nonsense on there.

Just sanded all the markings off my Springfield slide.. Easy peasy, but then again I spent nearly 7 years in a metal finishing position. Look for a "Springfield Custom" thread in the near future
