    RIA 1911s sold at Turners

Do all the current CA 1911 offerings by RIA have the magazine disconnect feature?

    I don't think so. 1911's don't have such "feature"

I love my Full Size RIA Tactical 1911. I had to get a replacement warranty barrel because of a problem with my Barrel Link/Pin. But they were real good about making it right.

No commie CA features on these.

It's a 1911. Wouldn't that be great great great grandfathered design.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Yup. Others were grandfathered in, as well. Springfield XD is one that is sold without a mag disconnect, among others.

RIA 1911's also lack trigger safety - the only passive safety is a heavier firing pin spring and a lightweight firing pin (I may be wrong on that last one).

Filipino's know how to make a knock-off, and a real 1911 only needs the two safeties JMB designed.

Can you elaborate please? My thumb and grip safeties both work quite well. Is there something I'm missing?

                        I agree.
And then there is the Chi-com Norinco; the examples I have all work 100%. Too bad that they are no longer imported. If you find one in decent shape used, I can see them being a fair investment after some time.

The rock islands are considered series 70s, with no firing pin block unlike most other new 1911s that have a series 80 or Schwartz safety built in so I you drop the gun loaded onto its hammer without the safety engaged it won't go off.

                              This ^

Kimbers have a grip safety based firing pin block and I believe others like Sig, Colt and S&W use the trigger based firing pin block. If you look at the underside of the slide, there is a plunger that will block the firing pin unless depressed. All I understand is that is one more mechanical function powered by the trigger, so trigger weight and crispness can be affected.
