    Really, really nice 1911s

Got $10,000? Want to wait 8 months? I'm sure it's well worth it for this really, really nice 1911.

    Ooohhhh, shiny!

If money were not a big deal and $10k to me was like $50 to most then sure; hell yes I love great looking guns.

If I were to spend that kind of money on a 1911, I would not want to wait more than the 3 or 4 days it takes for the seller to ship it to my FFL.
Just look in the sales ads or call a few custom makers and ask about what they have ready to ship today. I look once in a while and find many gook looking high grade ones for sale without the wait. Just not ready to drop the 10K. There are always plenty of super beautiful high priced 1911s available for sale. It is not like everybody who goes to a range is lining up to buy 10K 1911s.

Theyre currently building 2 entire guns out of a meteorite, I cant wait to see the finished product.

Just as a taste, theyve made a few sets of grip panels out of the meteorite as well

If I were to spend $10K on a 1911, it certainly wouldn't be on a johnny-come-lately manufacturer like Cabot who specializes on "flash" rather than substance.

instead I would spend it on a custom build by well respected smiths like Stan Chen or Ted Yost, etc.

These guys have shown some questionable taste in the past.

A lot of work does not mean quality work or a good artistic combination that makes a graceful final product. This one is just not good looking if you asked me and that front strap checkering looks like it was done by a blind man or a hack saw artist.

That thing is hideous. Much of the symbolism going on there just doesn't make any sense. Calling it tacky would be a compliment. Looks like something the "Franklin Mint" would promote in tear-out fliers of Guns & Ammo alongside collectible Elvis plates and Obama-adorned Christmas Ornaments.

Ya... I don't see 10k work of pistol there. It looks nice, but everything they talk about is their opinion or about aesthetics. They don't really go into the features that cost 10k haha. Like others said, I would rather go with one of the big time names like chen, Chuck warner, etc etc

$10k to spend.. I would tell them to make it under 7 days...

                              THIS x1000000000000.

Heirloom Precision is the tops for me.

I'd take an off the shelf Wilson or Nighthawk over a Cabot any day.
