    Range Report, CZ 75 SP-01

Had to take it out today. Did some test shooting with some plain factory ammo. Then shot some of my reloads. But all of the pics are of factory ammo shots. I'm not the best shot in the world, but here you go.

7 yards away, ten shots rested on my ammo box, and ten rounds standing free hand.

10 yards away, ten shots rested on my ammo box, twenty rounds free hand

15 yards away, ten rounds rested, ten rounds standing free hand. I should have shot this one again. I know I can do better than that.

This one is from 10 yards away, but all shots both rested and free hand are double action only.

These are from 25 yards away, which is as far as my local indoor range goes out to. 10 rounds standing free hand, and 10 rounds rested on my ammo box

I know it is not perfect shooting, and that most of you out there can do better. But for me it is pretty good shooting. I love the way this gun fits in my hand, and love the sights and trigger. I can't believe I never tried a CZ before. I can't wait to get my CZ 97B in hand.

Don't sell yourself short, it's good shooting. "and that most of you out there can do better" That's a over statement. I would say most of the people here are casual shooters. To have tight groups like that with no flyers really demonstrates you are an experienced shooter who knows the fundamentals to handgun shooting. Ok, a couple flyers =). Didn't see them

That's actually really good, especially @ 25 yards.
I don't remember the last time I shot a group like that at 25 yards; in fact I don't remember the last time I shot a pistol at 25 yards.

You like the sights? Are they stick? The stock sights are my biggest complaint about czs. They're always the first thing I replace.

        Great shooting by the way.

Good shooting! Better than 95% of the shooters I have ever seen at the range. I don't think I could do that well with a stock SP01, well done!

the SP-01 has truglo night sights instead of those crappy contrast ones the other 75's have

dont mean to thread jack, but I actually paired the rear contrast sight with a fiber optic from dawsons precision, works pretty good. blacked out the rear so the fiber stands out more.

The sp01 has the best stock sights of the bunch. The others are horrid in comparison haha.

Good shooting OP!! If you put a fiber up front you can get those groups even tighter. The fat night sight won't block your group especially at 15+ yards.

                    Nice groups!

I just came back from the range with my stock CZ SP-01 too.

The CZ 75 SP-01 comes with factory installed Meprolight Tru-Glo night sights. They are my favorite night sights. When I was a State Parole Agent I carried both a Smith and Wesson M&P 40, and an H&K USP Compact 40, and I put Meprolight night sights on both. The M&P actually came with trijicon night sights, but I had them removed and installed Meprolight nights sights because I get a better sight picture in dim lighting conditions.

Congrats, nice shooting. Sounds like you're happy and that's what matters.

FWIW, I've shot much worse than that.

                            Thanks fellas.

Thanks for the support and compliments. The pistol definitely shoots well. I can't imagine what it might be capable of after a Cajun Gun Works, Automatic Accuracy, or CZ Custom Shop trigger job. But I'll get better with this pistol as I shoot it more and become accustomed to the stock trigger.

I don't take pictures of my groups any more. They were pretty much within the 3-in shoot-n-c from 50 ft.
