Taurus .357 Tracker problem

When I shoot my Taurus after the second shot or so the cylinder doesn't make a full turn. So on the next shot I can't pull the trigger all the way back and either have to manually turn the cylinder or pull the hammer back to fire the next shot. I've cleaned, lubed, greased, oiled, Frog Lubed, Crisco'd, Unicorn Tears, etc to see if that would help to no avail. If I'm unclear on the problem I apologize. This is my first and only revolver. I'm using factory new .357 mag for ammo and I have not taken it in to a smith yet. Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing the revolvers out of time stop shooting it immediately. It can shave the copper off a slug or worse case fire the round with the cylinder not in lined with forcing cone . Both of which I had happen on two different Taurus revolvers .

It's possible that the front of the cylinder is dragging on the rear face of the barrel.
With the gun clean, rotate the cylinder slowly by trigger pull and watch to see if the barrel-to-cylinder gap changes.

If the gap is really small (.002"- .003") then any small debris or cylinder expansion from heating can cause the cylinder to bind.
In this case increasing the BtoC gap is needed.
Usually this is done by removing a little material from the rear of the forcing cone.

If the cylinder at rest has a proper gap (.004" - .008"), but the cylinder moves forward and drags on the rear of the barrel when the trigger is pulled, then the crane / cylinder fit needs addressing.

Easy fix. Stop shooting it, send it back to Taurus. I believe that their warranty is good on any owner, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Etc and not to just the original buyer and it is a lifetime warranty.
Do not spend money on a local smith to fix this type of problem.

Try hand-tightening the cylinder ejector rod. Grab the end of the rod and tighten while keeping the cylinder from turning.

Welcome to the apparently long list of unhappy Taurus owners. I too have a Tracker that had timing/lockup problems. It took two returns to their repair depot to get it right. The first time they returned it they said part of the problem was that I was using .38 special rather than .357 magnum.

Ya, send it for an all expense paid vacation to Florida for repair. Expect 2-3month turnaround time. Good luck.
