    Hybrid grips

So a CG member had asked about Talon grips on another thread as to which ones people prefer, granular or rubber??..I had posted that the granular's were too rough on my support hand (Palm). So I thought I'll try something out..since I already had the granulars on I decided to keep just the front and rear of the grips and replace the sides with rubber. Not cost efficient but something worth experimenting. I didn't want to spend another $20 for just the sides so did a little google-foo and came up with tractiongrips which seem to fit the bill. Well I just got the rubber grips in today and just put them on a few minutes ago. My impression so far??..I like it, majority of the grippiness is where it's suppose to be (front and rear) to keep control of the pistol when it recoils. For the sides it's just enough and won't chew up my palms. Also this shouldn't snag as much if any on clothing from a holster. I'll take it out this weekend for a test drive and see how it really feels. If I do end up liking it I'll just buy a whole sheet of skateboard grip tape and the rubber grips from tractiongrips for future pistols.

    Great choice!

I've been using skater tape on my semi's for many years.

    Love the stuff.
