    Best gun for $5000

Your rich uncle dies and leaves you $5000. . . but you can only buy a handgun with it.

You cannot sell this gun to buy multiple guns, you will not get any leftover money back, and it has to be CA legal.

    What would you get?

    A) Buy a Hi Point and pour $4700 worth of gold over it.

    B) If my rich uncle only left me $5000, I'd take the money and do whatever I wanted with it BC obviously he didn't like you.

        Best gun for $5000

How about an M&P PRO and a bunch of training? A well trained person with a $400 glock is more deadly than someone with no training. How about a rare colt python?

I'm slightly worried that you use the word poison so often that your phone auto corrected to it from person.

Also, if someone has 5k to spend on a gun, let's assume that's not his max budget and more what he just wants to spend on a firearm. He can probably still afford training/ammo.

Honestly, I do not know what's with you training guys. It's not like buying a gun precludes the other. For the record, I've taken several classes and continue to do so when I get the opportunity, but I'm not asking about training. This is the HANDGUN forum. Go into the training forums and talk about how you've become a Top Tier Operator/Zombie Killer all you want there.

With $5000 you can pay the premium to obtain off-Roster.

CA legal takes out a lot of options- guess I'd go with Wilson 1911 or SA Pro.

Off roster probably Sig X6 Level 1

Or get that limited run Hi Point that has the hundred dollar bills all over it!

Pardini GT9? Never shot one. it looks pricey but probably worth it.
