2nd gun for under 1k

So I recently bought my first gun last month....a glock 17. It seems like I am obsessed now and found a new hobby.....and being on this site isn't helping this new obsession lol

So I'm looking to buy a second gun now that I'm eligible again. I don't want a glock...I want something different.

I'm thinking of a Springfield 1911, maybe a Baretta...I know the options are endless.

What do you guys recommend? I'm not sure what it's main purpose will...Some target shooting, perhaps HD...who knows.

Actually the options in CA are rapidly diminishing due to the roster and idiot politicians.

I would consider these:

- Beretta 92/96
- CZ 75 / SP01
- USP 9/40/45
- Sig P226

Of these, I'd go Sig. My first was a P226 and my second a G17.

Go the a range that rents various handguns. There's also the shooting fair at Raahauges in Corona (don't know where you're from) this summer that can help give you an idea
