    usp stainless slide

so I got a hk usp stainless slide 9 and 45 today no tax sale. in looking at Wikipedia it said hk stopped making stainless slides in 2009 but according to the hk date codes these usp stainless were made in Germany in 2015, 2016. has stainless usp slides resumed production or I am reading the dates wrong?

Compact? They had a run in 2015 for their USPc versions.

Correct, they did a limited run of stainless compact USP's in 2015. I picked up one each of 9 and 45, never fired either one of them... but back when I first got into pistols, the stainless full size was still available new but I couldn't afford them. By the time I could afford them, HK had stopped making them.

I remember seeing a stainless USP9 in the display case at Arrowhead Outdoor Sports (was that in Fountain Valley?) all those years ago, a young 21-22 year old man wishing I had the cash for it. At that point, IIRC, HK already announced that the stainless full size pistols were going away, and I knew that was the last chance to grab a new one... but I just couldn't come up with the cash.

So while I really didn't need any USP Compacts, I grabbed 2 in stainless last year, consolation prize all these years later Tossed 'em in the pile with my other dozen or so HK pistols.

EDIT - I remember way back when, a new HK USP was around $600, only marginally more expensive than a Glock. Maybe the stainless was $650 new? I can't recall the exact prices, but that sounds about right to me.
