I have one and love it. The grip is very slim for a 45acp and feels great in my hands. It is more accurate than I can shoot. Its my favorite ccw piece at the moment.

You can only get one if you are in LE or thru PPT

I've got both the PPQ in 9mm and .45
I'm not LE just a patient CalGunner looking for the right PPTs. Both are amazing with incredible triggers. Side by side you almost can't tell the difference from a grip stand point.

You are incorrect. It was NEVER available in California. At least not to us regular class citizens. If you are a LEO or had a parent from out of state gift one to you and then you sold it for $1200 to someone here then I guess it would technically be considered available but not in the sense of other states where you could just walk into a store and buy one. It came on the market after SSE was closed off to us too.

I would love to get my hands on the .45acp version. I love my 9mm PPQ 5". Great gun with an awesome trigger. Here's a few targets from the first day I had mine at the range back in 2014. 1st is 10 rds at 12 yards. 2nd is 5 rds at 12 yards.

Where are all the folks that were claiming that SSE2 would save the day?

Nobody implied sse2 would help with large volume commercial guns.

Unfortunately, in this state it's *much* easier to get dope than the 45 PPQ.

I have the 9mm version with paddle release (M1) and it's a superbly executed polymer striker with a great trigger reset. I would get a 45 in a heartbeat.

SSE2 is a different beast and would require manufacturers to offer for sale serialized frames. A counterpart of stripped lowers for ARs.

For more info search for a thread where Franklin Armory got into it with DOJ over AR pistols they were manufacturing straight into single shot configuration.
