Light for USP45

Primary Arms had the TLR1 on sale so I got one for my USP45. And after it comes in yesterday I see it doesn't fit. Fit's nicely on my VP9 though, hooray! Found a few after a online search that would fit but just wanted to see if there are any other suggestions.

You have to get the tlr version that's specifically says "Hk usp" I don't think the tlr 1 has that version.

You could get an adapter but a decent one is 65$.

I'd recommend the tlr 3 (Hk usp version)

If you have other guns with a rail, I would hang on to the TLR-1 and get the adapter. I wouldn't return or sell the TLR-1. If you get the HK specific light, then it turns that particular light into a 1 trick pony. No other use except with the USP.

You may wind up getting other guns with a rail down the road.

Just my opinion.

I believe when you purchase light for any HK firearms. You will have to buy ones that says made for HK. Standard lights that fits Glock, Sig, S&w, etc.. wont work on HK.

Thanks for the help. Yea won't be selling it and it does fit nicely on my VP9. I'll make sure the next one I get is specific to the USP45. A light specific to that one is fine with me bc that's the HD pistola.

Only trouble is actually getting them in CA, lol. But yeah, anything other than the USP lineup in HK USA's inventory has a more standardized rail, which for us in CA, is just the P2000.

Just throwing this out there since the TLR-3 was mentioned but I had the standard and not "USP" version for my old USP 9 and the fit was fine. Hundreds of rounds down range and no issues with it coming off. It was shot hundreds of times through a USP 45 as well (and a bunch of other guns/rifles) with no issues. Not sure why, since there's a specific USP model.

I have the GG&G rail adaptor on mine, it'll fit the TLR-1 as it was made for it. It will work with the Surefire lights but you need to slightly modify the rail. (I think)

No need to modify the GG&G adapter, it works fine with surefire lights. I used to use the X300 on my USP 45 before I switched over to a Glock 21 for duty use.

Another thumbs up for the GG & G adapter. Used them for over a decade on my full-sized USP .45 without any issues.
