    SPRINGFIELD TRP OPERATOR

    Hey Guys,

Im new to CalGuns so if I am posting this in the wrong part of the forum forgive me.

I recently acquired two (2) Springfield TRP Operator full rail 45acp handguns bull barrelled trijicon adjustable target nightsights.
They are in NIB condition never been fired barely even handled. They are consecutive serial numbered. style PC9105LCA.

Im not thinking of selling them yet but maybe in the future (but if you guys hit a number that I cant refuse then so be it) that is why I am posting this in the CA Handguns section. If I were to sell them I would only sell as a pair due to the consecutive numbers trust me I would be happy keeping them too.

How much do you guys think I could get for the pair respectively and realistically. retail $1,750 per

The pair goes for $2000 total. I'd be happy to give you $2200 for the pair. 😜

I'd pay 2201 for the pair!

Welcome to CG, but just post it for sale in the correct forum and see what the market bears. not auction-style though. Pick a number that makes sense to you and see if you get any interest or not. drop the price as needed.

Buds has them for $1305 as a reserve item (if you can wait) and they are often listed in the deal forum brand new for closer to $1450 before tax and transfer.

I personally don't see any increased value because of consecutive serial numbers, but someone might.

All joking aside, I think a fair price for the pair would be close to $3000. To get a better idea of current resale value, search the marketplace under handguns. And welcome to Calguns.

Thanks for the welcome to calguns. I know these are really hard to get in general just as hard as some off roster guns even harder consecutive figured there would be a market. Thanks for the round about estimates guys!

when looking at other ads, also take note of what they are asking and how long they have been bumping their ad

Gunbroker may be a better gauge of what things are actually selling at. A lot of sellers on CG delete the prices after something sells, so all you see when you search is the people who haven't sold their gun because their asking is too high.

^^What he said. Also, the format and interface of Calguns takes a bit of getting used to, so browsing the marketplace ads helps to better orient you with regards to selling/buying on here.

Good luck if you decide to sell.

They are not that rare these days and come up in the marketplace on a fairly regular basis as will as most of the local LGS's. Consecutive serial numbers may be worth an extra $10. Selling them as a set, you might get $3,000 if you found the right buyer.

....neither do I. ....and I think you're talking about a very select few who will. Even then, I don't know how much they would be willing to pay for that "uniqueness".

Personally, I'd rather spend that 3k+ on one really nice 1911 than two $1500 1911's of the same model and consecutive serial #s.

It would be easier to sell them separate. Consecutive serial numbers don't mean as much as people make it out to be.

They're not really hard to come by, and the only things who care about the serial numbers of your guns are politicians.

you're better off selling them separate and that way, you maximize your return.ie. $1600 each compared to $3k for both. who cares for s/n ?

for $3k, I'll just get another SA Pro but that's just me

Definitely better off separate, a buyer would probably be expecting a discount for buying them as a set. Serial numbers don't really matter much as these aren't particularly collectible.
