    my first 1911

I purchased this about 5 months ago. Have about 2500 rounds of various ammo thru it, WWB, CCI blazer aluminum, AE and those made in hungary surplus. Proud to say never got any sort of failure. i replace the recoil & FP spring with wolf progressive rate springs 16.5# @ 1500 rounds. CLP to clean and militec oil for lube.

Thanks. I enjoy shooting this kimber over the USP45. I had a chance to shoot a kimber eclipse pro 2 awhile back. It was a blast. For some reason i like 1911 more.

        My first 1911

Nice pistol Kimber makes a great product, I have an older Custom II and it shoots better then some highly customized Colt's. Are those after market grips, if so whose? Also, how do the night sights line up on top of the stainless slide (does glare off slide effect the usefulness of the sights)?

i really never shot in the dark. i don't see any glare at all or i just really haven't take notice of it.
          The grip is Hogue.

The more I look at 1911s, the more I want one!
