    CZ SP 01 Mod's

I've read good things about CGW and their modifications particularly the Pro Package. Their site claims no custom work until further notice. Can someone point me in the right direction for some good work on improving the operation of this pistol similar or equal to the Pro Package with success? There are a few listed on CZ's website; which one did you use?
    TIA

      Are you sure?

Are you sure you need it? Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those that think mods are useless and unnecessary. I have had plenty of mods added to several of my handguns. My Glocks have Charlie Vanek triggers, and my M&P's all have APEX triggers. But I bought a CZ 75 SP-01 just the day before yesterday and that pistol didn't seem like it was going to need any mods at all. The trigger felt perfect to me. I can't wait to pick it up.

If you are a poor man like me or don't want to spend that much money, Par5In2 turned me on to just some few parts that I needed at half the price, and it works wonders and I am a believer. Disco, hammer, 13# hammer spring, spacer and polishing. We also added firing pin (insurance) and reduced recoil spring. He is in San Diego though. Now it feels like I can do a double tap before the gun kicks up.

No, but I'm used to light trigger pulls as all of my 1911's have been reduced to my liking. Like those, the CZ will be a range gun only. I carry an XD, and have Sig's and HK's scattered in micro-safes for HD all bone stock.
If I really had my way there was a Copperhead in the marketplace some time ago by CGW I wish I saw in time to get it. It would be great to send it off to them if they were taking on new work and go that route.

AO Sword in San Diego is an authorized CGW gunsmith/shop..same parts, same packages. I think you can get the work done in 3-4 weeks.

That said, some or all of these things can be done by yourself. I know little, but studied up thru reading and videos to do the Ultra Lite Defense Kit on my SP-01 just yesterday....easily drops the DA from 12# to 8.5# or so. It took about 15-20 minutes if you have the tools and planning.....not hard at all.

The SA can be worked on with a competition hammer, reduced power trigger return spring, and some polishing....a little harder, but people do it.

Thanks for the AO Sword info.
I really want to just send this one out, have little time/desire to play with it on my own.

CZC, you'll wait a little while and spend a few hundred bucks, but it'll be worth it.

                  Give them a call.

I am heavily leaning towards them. If you have time, could you share what services you had them do on your pistol(s)? I printed their Customer Work Form and definitely starting with the action job. Probably leave the sights alone; they looked okay to me.

I am using Automatic Accuracy though their wait time is 12+ weeks. Only 6 weeks left before I get my CZ 75 TS back with all the mods and goodies.

                        Congrats!
I have all the time in the world; I haven't picked mine up from CA lock down yet.
Care to share your mods please?

Just wait for Cajun, they will be taking more work by the end of the month. They do a great job, had them do a 75b last year. Called to set up work on a sp-01 and they said they would be caught up by the end of the month.
