    CZ 75 B trigger

I recently bought a CZ 75 B that's still got a week to go on the waiting period. I didn't dry fire it when I did the paperwork. From what I've read there's a chance it will have a gritty single action trigger pull. One of the reasons I bought this gun was because of the great trigger the one I tried at the range had. It's owner said it was stock and had been that good since it was new. It was almost as good as my 1911's that's had some trigger work.

Not looking for a problem from the start but if the trigger on the CZ I tried is an exception and mine doesn't have a good pull will it smooth out with use? If not what's the best way to go on improving it, replacing parts or having the existing one worked? If it's parts what are these like to replace parts on? Thanks.

The first thing to do is put some rounds through it.
CZ's are known to have triggers that range from ok to very gritty. With some use the gritty ones smooth themselves out.
If you want to do some work they can be made much better.

My CZ 75b had a gritty trigger, like there was sand in the FCG. I kept it stock and in about 500 rds or so, it got smoother. The range gun I tried prior had a really smooth trigger. Maybe that one had gone through thousands of rounds.

If so desired, there are aftermarket parts from CZ Custom and Cajun Gun Works available. Not a necessity but an option.

      Congrats!

I picked up my CZ7B recently and shot it for the first time on Friday. The trigger in SA works nice, I don't notice anything gritty about it. You'll be ok.

My stock CZs have always smoothed themselves out within 500-1000 rounds.

Congrats on the new purchase. Hard to believe you can compare a stock CZ 75 trigger in SA with a 1911 that had some trigger work. Most CZ 75 triggers have some creep and some are gritty. If your new gun is not to your standards, you can shoot 500+ rounds of ammo through it or dry fire it a lot and see if it gets better. Another option is to polish the internals and change out some of the springs which you can do yourself or send it out and get it done professionally. This will help but you will really see an improvement when you change out the hammer too.

Just go onto Cajun Gun Works or CZ Custom website to do some research on some of the upgrades available for your CZ 75.

Mine got progressively better and after about 500 rounds it has been great.

                ^^^ What he said....

It really gets better with 500 rounds and gets better from there. But if you have the extra $$$ send it to Cajun Gun Works and you will not be disappointed. I had mine done by CGW and it feels absolutely great.

                  CZ 75 B trigger

Took it home this afternoon. Loaded up some snap caps and tried the trigger. It was good from the start, smooth and light with no gritty feel in single or double action. If I didn't know it was new I'd think it had a trigger job.

Like what others mentioned it'll take at least 500rnds to smooth out. So keep running the snap caps.

I just had a trigger job done by West Coast Gunworks on my CZ75B (40 S&W). The trigger is really nice now, both on SA and DA.

pull your stock revolvers DA for a bit and you'll be loving the CZ DA.

That's how I felt and feel about my CZ75 B. I took it to the range twice and shot 350 rounds. And on top of that probably around 300+ dry ones with snap caps. It feels great, that said I'm curious how it would feel with CGW Pro Package. I'm kind of thinking of picking up CZ75 Compact, than sending the 75B to CGW... hmmm.
