        Both buyer and seller go to gun store/FFL and do some paperwork aka DROS.
        They hold the gun for 10 days.
        Buyer pays store $35
        I assume you have FSC and two IDs with your current address.

        There are limited exceptions, but the above is typical.

              The only thing PPT exempts you from is the 1 in 30 rule.

              That states you can only purchase one handgun per 30 day period. For a PPT, you can buy several in that period.

                  Some FFLs that also have indoor ranges will let you shoot the gun during the 10 days, but you just can't take it home! (e.g. "The Gun Range" in North Highlands (Sacramento))

                    With the exception of Los Angeles where it is 1 in 30, period. I believe that's the city not the county. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

                        You are correct, doesn't apply in the County, just the City

                          1) 10-day wait applies to PPT

                          2) 1-in-30 for handguns does NOT apply to PPT, except in the City of Los Angeles.
