    Colt Commander? Where?

Looking to make a trip to the LA area in search of a Colt Commander. Anyone know any dealers who may have them in stock?

Too bad you're in Socal - there's a beautiful new stainless Colt Commander (well, a Colt 45auto w/4.25" bbl) at the Gun Vault in Mt View.

I got mine on Gunbroker, still waiting to do the transfer (still in transit). Might be an option, just find a seller willing to ship, and make sure the model you are looking at is on the approved list. Otherwise you will have to find someone willing to sell and do a PPT.

Model #04691/Carbon Steel is approved here.

BTW, I haven't seen any Colt stuff in stock at any of the LA stores I frequent...

Good luck finding a Colt. I've been looking for one as well and unless you want to pay some exorbitant fees for a consignment piece you are out of luck. Might be better off searching pawn stores unless you insist on new. But finding a new one is near impossible.

Great choice. The O4691 Commander is a very nice pistol. I know Evan's in Orange gets a load of grief here, but he also usually has new (and some used) Colts in stock.

Last time I was at Grant Boys in Costa Mesa, they had a new Colt Commander (that was several months ago, but I think they carry Colt).

A lot of dealers don't seem to carry Colts (they have a lot of reasons, many of which are simply wrong). Also, check the internet, such as Bud's Gun Shop. I know Ade in Orange will transfer one in for you, and Ade is awesome.

            Good luck!
