I just picked up a Springfield 1911 and need to replace the main spring. I have never stripped a 1911 before. Can someone post a link on how to do this??

I bought a Springfield Armory Operator and would like to swap out my mainsspring for a Smith and Alexander mainspring/magwell. If I just rubber band the grip safety in place and swap mainsprings will I have any issues????Replying to craigslist for casual encounters is like pokemon with STDs.
