    Trigger guards "holsters"

I am interested in a trigger guard holster (no clip; just comes with a string) for pocket and/or backpack and/or briefcase carry when I don't feel like getting fully holstered up. Anyone use these regularly? What are your thoughts? Thanks!

    Example:

It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

I use one regularly in my Hill People Gear running pack. Other than that, if I'm wearing shorts with belt loops I'm going to wear my full holster with light. They are tedious to reholster with and I'm probably going to replace the trigger holster with a full holster for my running pack at some point for that reason.

Also, these trigger guard holsters offer no protection from pressure applied to the gun from the muzzle end and offer no grip tuck I need for AIWB.

Thanks! By no protection on muzzle end, are you referring to the slide being pushed out of battery accidentally?

That and the gun being pushed out of the holster from the muzzle end.

I ended up buying three of them for different handguns and really like them. Much less bulk, even compared to a sticky holster - great IMO for pocket and backpack carry.

I have worn a MIC for the last 2 years every day. Love it. Gun can move with the body but not enough to make it a pain to get to. I am able to get the gun out and a round on target in under a second.

I don't like the one in the picture because it adds width to the gun and defeats the purpose. I think I got mine from ilovemyglock.com or something like that

I've been carrying with a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 for 2 maybe 3 years @ appendix. I even spend my entire range day practicing with it. Tie it to the nightstand drawer when I go to sleep. I'm contemplating training with it but feel I may be holding up the line putting it back on.

Only issue is a hot slide does not go unnoticed...

I have one and use it quite often. I use it with my glock in a pouch attached to my fishing creel or a backpack.
