Glock 36

As a companion piece to a 19/26 for carry, since it is slim.

Depends on what you have on your ccw permit already....If thats what its for. If not for a ccw then yep....nice piece.

I'm a 1911 guy who got a Glock 36 for a thin, lite carry gun. Not really impressed so far, although it certainly is easy to carry. I think if you are a Glock guy already you will like it.

I bought a G36 with the intention to get a CCW, moving from a friendly county eliminated that idea.

I can't comment on its carry ability firsthand as I don't CCW, but it is small and slim.

Back to the pistol itself- the only modification I did was install the Pearce +0 mag extensions. The stock magazines have no support for your pinkie. It shoots well, I grouped 3" at 10 yards with it on the first trip out. Cycled various JHP ammo without a hitch. The trigger could use a lighter connector but I'm used to very crisp triggers so I may be biased. It's a snappy little bugger, doesn't get much range time in shadow of my other .45's but if I was to get a CCW it would be my carry piece.

The G36 fits my hand well and (correct or not) I trust 45ACP to solve a problem more than the nine Mike Mike.

The G36 was the second Glock I bought new (about 9 years ago). My G36 was accurate, light recoiling for a .45 and carried well IWB (being so thin). But with my hand size, the pad of the little finger of my shooting hand fell on the gap between the frame and the magazine baseplate, resulting in blood blisters every time I shot it due to the frame flex pinching me. My advice would be shoot one first.

its about the same size as the G19. But 15rds compared to 7.

it is same size as my 1911 officers, but G36 about 1/2 the weight .

I like my G36 quite a bit, but would rather have more rounds from the 19

I like mine. People say its snappy, but I do not really agree. Shoots nice to me for a 45. If you can, get the 30s, same slide but double stack so it holds 10 or I think 13 if you are in a free state.

I sold my 36 and replaced it with a 30s. The added capacity seemed worth a slight increase in grip thickness.

30s has a lot of mag options. 9 rounds is totally flush. 10 there's sort of a 1/4 inch baseplate effect. 13 rounds is the G21 mags which presumably work but would be sticking out a ways.

The G30 just seems like such a better choice than the 36.
I mean I haven't shot either of them but the 30 feels so much better in my hand than the 36. And also double stack vs. single stack.
