Have a couple of experienced shooters also shoot it to make sure it is truly shooting left. Either that or you may be slapping the trigger (that is if you are righty)

Is the slide not locking back for everyone else who has shot it as well. Are you sure you don't have a finger or thumb resting on the slide release?

What kind of ammo are you using?

check if the mags are still good. You can verify if the mags are activating slide stop by inserting an empty one and racking the slide to the rear. If the slide stop catches and stays open, its probably your grip as others have mentioned, limp wresting can create this problem as well.

Carlos, congrats on a fine pistol. I'm willing to bet a 6er of your favorite brew that both issues you mention are user induced.

First the slide not locking back. Happens all the time, especially on Sig's. What ends up happening is your support hand or thumb ends up riding the slide release lever, even ever so slightly, and prevents it from locking the slide back on empty. Test with empty mag and pulling the slide back on one and see if it locks back. Also test by shooting a single round loaded using just your strong hand and see if it locks back.

Shooting left/low left is a right handed shooter trigger control/grip issue. To give you an exaggerated example, make a loose fist with your right hand. Now tighten that loose fist. Which way did your wrist and hand move when you tightened it? Left or low left correct? It takes a lot of practice to get and maintain proper trigger control and grip. I personally struggle with it to this day and I practice a ton. Dry firing helps even during live fire practice. Some days I'm spot on, others, slightly left or low left.
        Good luck happy shooting.

          Exactly.

Most likely, shooter error for both issues. I experienced it when I was new to handguns as well. Try shooting with one hand and see if the slide locks back. Better yet, have a more experience shooter fire it.

          And Welcome to Calguns!

While I agree with others that the shooting to the left is probably user error, it may be the sight is off, it was with my P2000. More than likely it's user error though.

The P2000 can use either P2000 or USP Compact magazines. I mention the USP as the magazine SPRINGS in my fullsize .45 USP mags were problematic for me. I had the same "not locking the slide back on the last round" issue until I replaced the springs with Wulff +10% mag springs. Once I did that, no problem. Oddly, I never ran into the problem with my P2000sk .40 which uses the same magazines your standard P2000 does. I use an X-Grip spacers so I get the added capacity (10+1) and the X-Grip fills the gap so it's pretty much the same grip as the standard P2000.

Check your sights to see that neither was knocked off-center. If they look in the ballpark, you're probably the culprit. Have other experienced and skilled handgunners shoot with your pistol to see if they run into the same placement problem.

Probably user induced. If you want to improve and fix your low left issue, the first thing you must do is to admit that it was you not the gun. The P2000 is a great gun. I love mine.

Low left is usually caused by anticipating the recoil and "mashing" the trigger. Very common! Remember to squuuuueeeeeze the trigger.

Also, an interesting experiment. Load and aim at target as usual. But have someone put their finger over yours and squeeze the trigger for you while you focus on keeping sights on target. This will negate the mashing and tell you if you're causing the problem. Good luck!
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

What range do you normally visit? i have the same gun and may be able to help. I have the DA/SA NOT the LEM.

Although i haven't shot my P2K in awhile.

Generally, H&K mag springs are known to be weak points. As someone above mentioned, you can upgrade the spring to Wolf springs. I've never had any issues with my H&K mags or springs.

another note about shooting to the left...it MAY help if you switch out the back strap on the grip. (if this is user error a grip change may help).
