P239 Question

Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone makes aftermarket rail systems for the 239 so you could mount a light on it? If so, are they reliable or shakey?

I know there are types out there that mount to the trigger guards but I've heard some pretty bad things about them and quite honestly the ones I've seen look a bit flimsy.

If there is no rail / light option then what is the smallest Sig that can take a light?

229R or a 2340/2009 SigPro series. SigPros are about the same size as the 229, but a tad lighter due to the polymer frame.

I haven't looked into lights for mine, since the Sig 239, while slim, is already pretty top-heavy for a relatively compact gun.

Another thing to consider is that most Sig Pros have proprietary rail systems, I believe, which can limit the availability of gear to mount on them. The SP2022 has a Picatinny standard rail, as does the P229R.

Insight (http://www.insightlights.com) makes a rail adapter for some of the full-size Sigs, but I don't think there's one for the 239. Here's a thread on them:
