So when lets just say someone I know was gifted a box full of preban mags from uncle before 1/1/2000...some of these mags were s&w 59 mags which worked in an xd. Would it have been legal to rebuild the mag bodies due to them being bent with xd 16 round bodies back in 2012 and kept the spring...law said if a part of the old magazine was kept it would be legal. What day you guys? Oh and new to the forum. Hi.

Closed, because mag threads quickly wander off into the weeds.
Nobody knows the answer for sure; it certainly was legal to rebuild mags, and likely still is, but getting parts is somewhat 'iffy'.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
