Colt Custom Shop

Anyone have any experience dealing with the Colt custom shop? I was thinking about sending my pistol in for a package upgrade and was wondering if they are worth the money and the time.

They do great work but take forever ��

Took me almost a year to get my gun blued

Consider Frank Glenn for mechanical work or Ford's for refinishing work

No personal experience but they quoted me something insanely long for a front strap checkering and refinish. Seems like they have a good rep though.

I sent this to the Colts Custom shop. 9 months and $900.00 later. Exactly what I wanted and worth the wait.

Great looking Commander. What type of finish did you have put on? The Colt rep discussed hard chrome or ion bond as a better choice.

I have a Delta Elite that I am considering for their tactical package. I was told 18 months as a turn around time based on the current influx of custom job requests.

Op if you're getting your delta elite customized might as well throw in a ramped barrel so you can shoot hot 10mm loads not sure if colt offers that service though . Im sure the gunsmiths listed would have no problem doing it.

Gold bead front sight
Mild carry bevel
Hand fit KART barrel / bushing
Replace plastic long trigger with short serrated steel trigger
Replace plastic MSH with flat smooth MSH with lanyard loop
Complete trigger / action job (4.4lbs trigger pull now)
Stamp a pony on the slide
Polish flats
Re-blue pistol
Grips by Esmeralda
