    Sw1911

I have a coworker that wants to sell me this smith and wesson 1911...i can't seem to find any info on it? Is this on the roster? Discontinued? All sw1911 I could find have beavertails. Is $600 a fair price and seems to be in like new condition.

    For 600 that's a steal buy it.

Also another thing...why no external extractor?

I believe all SW1911s are off roster. Check here.
Do you have the model number and general round count?
If it is Scandium frame, that is even more rare.
I think SW changed the design in 2011 to their E-frame design, which then has the external extractor. Best to do a Google search to verify

I can't tell from the photo but it LOOKS like a Springfield MilSpec.

$600 is a very fair price. I picked up a stainless SW 1911 about six months ago, and paid more than that for a gun in similar condition. Not identical to the image, but similar.

I've put several hundred rounds through mine with zero issues. If you like the gun, go for it.

I think he's right. Doesn't look like any SW I can find, but is a dead match for the Springfield.

I think your coworker is mistaken.

                    Think it's a Springfield Mil-Spec as well.

Box, holster, and barely see the cross cannon on the slide.

Don't think Smith ever made anything with GI/Mil-Spec sights.

Still a great gun. Knock him $50 and it's a good buy.

Yep. Looks like a Springfield with the old blue Springfield box and internal extractor.

None of you know what you're talking about. That is obviously a Smith & Wesson Springfield Armory Mil-Spec!
It's still a good gun and makes a great base gun for custom projects. Finagle the price a little and snap that sucker up, especially if it's the newer model with the NM prefix.
