    RIA help please

I want to buy an RIA 1911 but am confused trying to merge the Ca doj approved handgun list and Buds offerings. Please tell me what FS CS and MS mean. What is the model number of the full sixe tactical approved in Ca.?
    Thanks

I'm pretty sure FS means fixed sights.

Oops, I stand corrected. Sorry about that.

      I believe it is:
FS = Full Size or 5" barrel
MS = Mid Size (Commander) or 4.25" barrel
CS = Compact Size or 3.5" barrel

Bud's has a California compliant tab.

If you go to the Buds site and click on California Approved guns, then handguns, anything listed there should be OK

Buds looks like its OOS right now; back order probably won't take them long, but these guys have shipped me one in the past. They appear to have it:

It is listed as M1911-A1 Tactical / Steel on the DOJ Roster

                  Try to buy local?

Usually there is not much head room in price to make it a deal for guns under 500. Unless it the one in the deals sections is still good.

Great 1911. I got one with a temperamental barrel (FS Tactical). I had a few feeding issues and the barrel link pin was walking out and creating a bit of a hang up if I "walked the slide" forward. I sent the barrel in, they sent me a new one and it's been flawless since. Customer service is important, and they back up their product. Good choice!

Tactical is on it's way. (Making a 10 day stop over first).

I noticed Bud's list recently was not nearly as accurate as it has been in the past... It would serve you better to actually cross check any manufacturer's websites with the roster... There are lots of guns available that weren't listed in the CA section.

RIA makes one of the very few .38 Super guns still on the Commiefornia handgun roster.
