    Glock 22 Gen 2 or RTF2?

With the all the police trade ins recently I'm looking at the prices and thinking pretty hard about getting one. Gen 2 for $320 or an RTF2 for $380. Both in "good" condition. I realize it's subjective, but what isn't?

I've only ever used a Gen3, so I don't know the feel of the other two. But which would you choose?

Should I just buy $300 worth of bacon?

To me, RTF2 gives you a non slip grip.
Gen 2 could slide when sweating or if you have blood on the hands.
Seriously, thats what the armorer told us why they came out with RTF2, because officers would say " when sweating and with blood, it was slippery.
    I like the RTF2!!!
Now only if I could get my hands on a G19 RTF2 with fish gills!!!!

This is from recoil. Thinking about picking up another one. It's been flawless with a conversion barrel.

At those prices, RTF2. If there was a bigger price gap, I'd take the Gen2 since I put talon grips on all my glocks.

I prefer to Gen 2 grip without the finger grooves but shoot both styles.

Get both! Those are better prices than I paid at AIM Surplus. But seriously, my 22 RTF2 is my favorite gun to shoot, and is more than a steal at $380. From someone who has Gen 2's and an RTF2, the RTF2 is worth the extra money.

I like my G17RTF2 much better than the standard 3rd Gen grip. RTF is my vote if you can only buy one. At that price, it's a steal indeed.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Thanks guys. Even if I still wanted a Gen 2, they're more common than the RTF2 and I could get one more easily in the future.

My G22 has Rtf 2 grip and fishgills. Love that thing.
