I think he's saying the .380 here is getting popular in California.

my opinion is as more average men and women are going out and getting their concealed carry licenses (Or begin in to carry if they live in a free state) that has been an increase in .380 pistols especially the Micromini semi-autos like the Kel-tec .380 and the Ruger LCP .380, Sig, ...etc.

so yes, maybe more people are buying that caliber and more of it is being sold than in years gone by

I like the .380. I have 3 .380 guns: Beretta 84FS, Walther PPK/S, and Bersa Thunder .380. I'm a small guy (by today's standard) and, although I prefer shooting my larger guns, for carrying there is nothing like a .380.

Lately, I've been having fun developing a load for my .380 Hi Point. I think I've got it down. Yea, I said "Hi Point". While I have plenty of other, more expensive, higher quality, some which are collector pieces, I'm fast becoming a Hi Point fan for the shear fun of shooting it. The .380 round is less forgiving to reload than 9mm though.

I have a S&W BG380. I like it because it's very compact, reliable and accurate enough for its purpose. I don't prefer using the 380 ACP, but when I need a small, light pocket pistol I take it with me.

I never knock peoples guns, Yeah my brother has a hi point in his collection. He bought it for fun, Turns out it shoots great except for the slide bite every now and then.

Sig P238

My favorite carry gun is my Sig P238 which is chambered in .380 of course. I like it the best because it just slides right in my pocket and I don't have to worry about cover shirts or any other form of concealment. An extra mag goes into my back pocket and that is that. Plus my Sig P238 is a very combat accurate little pistol.
