    M9

My brother in law has an M9 legally purchased and wants to pass it along to me. Is there any way that I can get it legally shipped to CA and registered here?

Since, this is an out-of-state transfer, the handgun needs to be on the "approved list".

If it's listed, then your brother-in-law can ship it to a CA FFL dealer, where you will DROS it, pick it up after 10 days and enjoy it.

Since, it's an out-of-state transfer, the CA FFL dealer can charge any amount to do the transfer (prices range from $60-$150, so shop around for a FFL dealer prior to it being shipped).

Also, your brother-in-law can not ship it with any large capacity magazines.

The M9 is approved for CA sales. just have your brother ship it to a gun shop of your choice. I would call around to your local shops and see who will do it for the cheapest and use them. It will probly run you 75$
