    compact vs. sub compact question

I'm looking at a sig2022 or cz 2075 rami for carry. I like the idea of a sub compact gun, but I also want to be able to get my whole grip of the gun in a self defense situation and not have my pinky hanging off. I was looking at the extended length magazines for the rami but then the length of the grip would be pretty close to a sig2022. At that point I might as well just get the sig2022 and the extra barrel length...?

Are there any advantages to having a subcompact gun with the extension over a compact gun? I guess a little bit of weight, but it doesn't seem like it could make that much a difference.

Amy reason why you settled on those two specifically?

      Any reason those two?

What about a Shield, G42, G43 or EMP?

        Why those two guns?

Sig2022 seems pretty big for conceal carry, plus lots of edges to snag on.

Between the two, I'd probably go with the RAMI. I abhor the trigger on the Sig. Its nowhere near as nice as a Sig 226 or Sig 220. Plus, as HighWildFree says, its a bit big for CCW.

Are you sure I cannot interest you in a Glock 19? A single trigger pull for all occasions.

Had to ask. Everyone else wants to know, but were too timid to ask.

I hate the trigger and sights on a glock. By the time I replace those I should be looking at the next level price wise. The only striker fire I like are FNS9 and s&w shield. Not sure if lc9 is striker but I thought it has a heavier trigger, which se me great but then I'm looking at dealing with a safety on the lc9 and shield unless I go used off roster. I'd carry without the safety on but if it ever got in the way and accidentally clicked I'd be ****ed. The fns9 is big enough that I might as well just get fnp9 fnx9 or sig2022.

I like both of those as well. I owned a P-01 and i'm think of buying another one. If I went to compact I'd definitely consider one. I found it rather heavy to be carrying all day when I was in Oregon and Washington.

HK P30SK is a nice gun for a DA/SA subcompact. I prefer the Sig P320 SC, but I already have a Glock 27.

No, if you're going to add on extended magazine grips to a sub compact you might as well just buy a compact. I owned a LC9 and now I own a Glock 19. I cannot recommend a single stack sub compact to anyone. They are harder to shoot, and you gain nothing positive in my mind. My Glock 19 is just as concealable as my LC9 was, but a much better pistol.

I carry the 2022 in my truck every day, but it's way too big to carry concealed for my 5'11 180lb frame. You need something that's thinner with a shorter grip.

Actually I beg to differ. My G27 will conceal better when it has the stock G27 mags. G23 or G22 mags can be utilized if I need a reload.
