    Para Warthog

Does anyone own the Warthog .45 cal or has anyone shot this gun?

Any thoughts on this small gun? I'm thinking about picking one up.

I also thought about getting the Kimber Ultra Carry II. I know Kimber has a good rep. So any thought on either would be cool.

    Thanks, John

I have the simpler version - a Para P10 - and it's fine. Recoil is OK and it's reliable. Very chunky grip and it would be nice if Para scrapped the plastic trigger, plastic mag release and (I think) plastic mainspring housing & use metal. Also, mine has the trigger actuated firing pin block which makes for a crappy trigger pull. I polished everything and lightened the block's plunger spring and made it better, but out of the box it's lousy.

    All & all it's OK.

I had one. I am left handed and just about every empty ejected case struck me on the forehead or top of the head. I sent it back to Para Ord, they charged me to replace some springs and it still did it. I sold it. It was very accurate and comfortable to shoot but getting hit with the empty cases got old quickly.

I have one, the double stack mag fills your hands. Seems alot of guys in Nor Cal really like the Warthog. I like my Kimber UCDP more. I'm in SoCal and I'ld consider selling my Warthog if interested.

I'll keep that in mind in the next few weeks! I want to go shoot one first. There is a range up here that will rent them. So I think that is going to be my next thing on my todo list!

Also looking for thought on the kimber ultra carry II, anyone?

              I'll keep in-touch.
