Another GP100?

So I have a 4" SS one which is just bad ***. Now I want a 6", but should I go Blue or SS orrr Blackhawk 9mm/357?

I just bought a brand new blue S&W 586 Blue 6" and could not be happier. Blued revolvers just look very cool.

So the gp 100 revolvers are tanks, triple lock up, heavyweight, etc. So I say go with the more durable choice of stainless steel rather than a blued revolver.

I always prefer blued guns, more personality. Unfortunately my two revolvers were only available in stainless.

As much as I like revolvers, I don't care much for single action revolvers. I actually had that Blackhawk convertible and sold it. I enjoy shooting in DA mode more than SA. So my vote goes to the GP. A blued counterpart to your stainless GP would be nice.

Ive had a bunch and prefer the Match Champion to all the others because it has the GP strength with some of the handling of the old Six series.

My second favorite is a 6" blue "half lug" I've had since it was made in '89. The only other one I've kept is a 4" stainless half-lug fixed sight .38 that was originally ordered by US Customs before they became ICE.

I've never much liked the handling (and carrying!) of the full-lug versions. Excellent on the range. Terrible on the hip, or if you have to use them fast.

Personally, I prefer blued tuned in general. And my GP 6" is blue. If it hadn't been for that tragic CG boating accident I'd still have it, and a couple of stainless guns too...but blued rules.

Gp100 4 inch blued with holster wear is my favorite...alas that one was given to my father and my step father gave me a 6inch stainless gp100.
