HK Lem or Da/sa

I prefer the DA/SA on my HK 45 and HK 45 Compact (CCW gun). LEM, when i tried it felt too squishy. Not to mention if you take your finger off the trigger it resets to the long travel first shot mode. One can also change the springs to lighten the DA pull to 6.5-8 pounds if one desires.

The argument of two separate pulls for DA/SA is still there for LEM as it is still two different trigger pulls for LEM.

So every time you release the trigger all the way it goes back a DA pull? Say I pull the trigger in DA and if I let the trigger go all the way it goes back to DA pull?

There is no DA in LEM. The first stage of the pull is just what folks refer to as "slack" or "pre-travel". Once the pre-travel is completed, the the second stage is the actual SA where the trigger breaks. The reset travels a bit pass the SA.

I like DA/SA the best, personally. I have a P2000 and P2000sk with DA/SA

LEM trigger is fantastic if you're used to striker fired guns. The LEM trigger is a SAO trigger with a long, light pre-travel. The design is very safe both mechanically and practically.

Pre-travel is
1) long, ~1/2"
2) light, maybe 1lb? for light LEM, feels weightless. Heavier versions of LEM have heavier trigger rebound springs for more of a revolver feel.

Trigger break is comparable to SA, crisp and light, ~5lb for light LEM, more if using a heavier version of LEM

Trigger reset length is comparable to SA and differs greatly depending on model (just like the SA does), from short to looong: USP series < HK45 series < P2000 series < P30 < P30S

The LEM has second strike capability, if the hammer falls and the slide doesn't recock the gun, you have the same horrible DA as on the DA/SA model.

Big advantage to LEM on USP and HK45 series: you can get rid of the safety/decock lever, which results in a slimmer, simpler profile. On P2000 and P30 series, the decocker is already pretty low profile, so there's less of an advantage.

I don't recommend using a lightweight hammer spring to lower the DA pull weight because the hammer will have less gas to strike the FP, and will lose reliability to some degree.

Well, I have about 3,000 rounds through my HK 45 since Bill Springfield ( http://www.triggerwork.net/hk-usp%2c...9%2cmk-23.html ) worked on it a few months ago ( 10# spring). No issues so far. YMMV.

I prefer the v3 da/sa, don't carry but still would prefer it if I did and I'm a Glock guy. Love cz too though which might be why I like the da/sa
