    Firearm frames?

Are handgun frames considered the same as stripped lowers?
Can we import stripped 1911 complete frames, like the ones from fusion firearms?
    Or Lonewolf glock frames?

No pistol frames can be imported unless the gun it came off is on the roster. Only rifle (shotgun?) frames.

You can PPT a frame only just like any other off-roster pistol.

Unless you are a LEO, the receiver/frame will be DROS'd as a long gun and registered as a rifle.
        Which means...
You will only be able to legally use it to make a rifle.
If you make it into a handgun, it will legally be considered a SBR (weapon made from a rifle).

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that you cannot even build a pistol from a 80% frame unless your build it as a single shot first, the convert to semi-auto. The pistol must start off first as a single shot.

Also some FFL will not DROS a pistol frame only, must supply upper with it before they will ppt.

I was looking into a completed 1911 frame or lonewolf glock frame.

Quick thread jack, but somewhat on topic.

About the lone wolf frames. Could one be purchased and drosed as a rifle, the assembled with one of those mechtech carbine kits? That might make a fun little project.

OP, please read the post I've attached here, and get the facts from actual FFLs...

There is one more FFL offering this service in IE (I'm searching for name), and also Limited-10 down in San Diego. Not knowing your location, I can't help much beyond this, but yes, Frame transfer is possible in California.

According to the link you posted.

A frame that was never assembled into a semi automatic can be manufactured into a exempt single shot pistol. If the pistol was at anytime a complete pistol this service is not available.
So someone can make a single shot out of a Timber Wolf lower?

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

yes, granted one can find a single-shot upper for the Glock that meets the technical specs required for the single-shot pistol, like the one Limited-10 is making for the 1911. But the 07 or 01 FFL will need to assemble the pistol prior to transfer.

If I am correct it would require an 07 FFL Given that the Glock is striker fired, I am thinking that such a upper would be a lot more complicated than the Limited-10 SSE2 upper for 1911s

Why? The striker assembly, which is the rear end of the slide can be just like a Glock, and the front of the slide can be a break top just like the limited-10 one, with a long enough barrel, and single-shot.
