So I ordered a Ruger Bisley from Davidson's. When I went to the lgs to start the DROS, I decided to check out the pistol first. Good thing I did too. The grip-to-frame fit was pathetic. Furthermore, the gaps were so wide, I could have driven a Mack truck through them (well almost). I refused to take ownership. It's not the lgs fault, the problem lies with Ruger. So Ruger, WTH?????? This is not the first time I've had a quality problem, and a friend of mine also had a problem with his Ruger. Anybody know what the secret is to getting a quality Ruger pistol????

I bought a Bisley convertible model 0472 from gun broker.com and the grip fit to the frame was perfect. I think it's just luck of the draw, but Ruger will likely replace your grips if you want to go through the hassle. Probably better to find a nice pair of after market grips that fit well and look right.=NRA Life Member= -
For the price, you would think they could get it right the first time. My son and I both have the New Vaquero SS Bisley in .45 Colt, and they both have good grip fits. There are a few grip companies that will hand fit the grips if you send them the grip frame. I bought a set of grips from Altamont for mine, and the fit was OK for me. Good quality for a nice price.
