    RIA COMPLIANCE QUESTION

Armscor.com website states model 51417-ca is the california compliant model for their GI MidSize 1911.

But I can't find that number anywhere.
I did however find the same gun with the model number 51417.
Found it on Buds, but the gun is not in the CA section.
Are these 2 guns the same, or do I need the specific 51417-ca model?

It is listed on the DOJ's safe gun roster as the "Rock Island 1911 A-1 G.I. MS (Blue)/Steel" with a 4" barrel.

and no, the one on Bud's is NOT the same as the CA compliant version, because the CA version has a different model #.

51417-CA is the ONLY model of it you can order here (literally, the same gun, just one has "CA" in the model #)

It is listed as CA compliant, so it was the right one. However, it is out of stock so it's a moot point. If it is being sold on California by a reputable shop, then you can rest assured it is a California compliant gun.

You should be able to have any FFL order it for you.

Well there ya go softball! If you're in So Cal you should pick it up. Great deal on a quality handgun. The 1911 Commander is my favorite. I have two and I'm thinking about getting the RIA one as well.

Buds is a strange place. Just make sure it on the roster and then buy. The wont send it if its not on the roster. I think they loose a lot of sale by not updating their Cal section.

I've bough two guns from them in the past 4 months. They are good to deal with.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
