Glock 19 RTF2 and CA Roster

I'm a little confused with Glocks and the CA roster. I have read here a few times before that for the most part any Glock is ok to DROS, as long as it is not Gen 4.

The reason being that the Gen 4 Glocks have "Gen 4" marked on the slide, whereas all previous Gen's have just the model name. Making Gen 2 and Gen 3 both ok to DROS since both have the same markings on the slide.

So with that said, does this mean that a Glock 19 RTF2 would be ok to buy new from a dealer? Assuming they were to be produced again?

I see that Glock 17 RTF2 is on the approved list, but I also don't know if RTF2 Glocks have any different markings on the slide vs the non RTF2 models.

So in short, would a black Gen 3 RTF2 Glock 19 be ok to DROS?

Glock 19 RTF2 not on roster and unless you are LEO, You can only PPT Glock 19 RTF2.

Glock 17 RTF2 & Glock 22 RTF2 are still on the roster and available to purchase new from dealer if you can find one.

      Glock made RTF2 (Black) frames for 17, 19, 22 and 23

Only visual differences that can be seen besides the frame texture is that some RTF2 slides have the "Fish Gill" serrations while others have standard "Straight" serrations.

As Barrett99 said, you can PPT any gem Glock.

          Got it, thanks.

I know PPT is ok for any gen. I thought I saw somewhere that Gen 2 Glocks are also ok for purchase from a dealer. I think there was a thread a little bit back about people ordering Gen 2 Police trade in Glocks from AIM Surplus, which would make it a dealer sale and not PPT.

I am aware of LEO exemption, but I don't think these people were LEO.

The Glock 19/23 RTF2 is not on the roster, however, the RTF2 guns are not marked RTF2 (I have a 22 RTF2 and I checked). I know this has been discussed before but for the life of me I can't find out if we've ever reached a conclusion. If the 17/22 RTF2 was not on roster, I'd say it'd be arguable that, like Gen 2's, they are still good to go. However, given that the 17/22 RTF2 is on roster while the 19/23 is not, I wouldn't try to DROS one from an FFL.
