Curious to know who uses the sear in their 75s, the reason for using ut, and your opinions on why to install the sear over the factory sear.

CGW Adjustable sear

People use it because that don't want to fit their current one. I put a comp hammer and shadow safeties in my sp-01 and filed the stock sear cage. I personally think it's a waste of money, but to each their own. It literally took me 5 minutes with a rotary and diamond bit to get it good to go.Originally posted by pacratWhat part of Cuba are you located in, Havana? Or closer to Guantanamo? -
I use one. It adjusts trigger take up and is mostly for fine adjustment. Don't think it's worth it unless you want to make a stock trigger better, or plan on bravely going REALLY light on your trigger pull. Like a pound or less.
It's also just another thing to get fubar since there's a set screw that needs loctite.Comment

There seams to be a bit of confusion in this thread.
The CGW adjustable sear is designed to allow retention of the safety function of a CZ pistol without the hand fitting that is required when one uses a hammer that differs from the factory hammer geometry. In contrast when you change the hammer in a CZ decocker you can retain the orignal sear due to the absence of a safety. No safety, no fitting, no adjustable sear needed.
Hand fitting a safety can be tedious and time consuming.
To answer your orignal question OP. I have around 6 of them installed. I use them to retain the safety function in my safety model CZs that have competition style hammers. The reason i choose to install them over the factory sear is to retain the function of the safety without the need for hand fitting. This is what they are designed to do.
Just to be clear people generally do not buy the CGW adjustable sear because it is a better sear, they buy them to retain the safety function of their pistol while using after market hammers.Last edited by Tok36; 02-07-2016, 9:08 PM.Vive La Exile Machine!!

The factory sear when you replace with a new comp hammer will not work with out modifications. You can modify the factory sear to work as normal if you do it carefully. The CGW has a grub screw that you can adjust to have the safety work, it is less time consuming, and if you mess up the original sear you will spend $18 for a new sear plus shipping.Comment

Tok36,
Summed it up perfectly. We don't recommend the sear if you retain the stock hammer. If you are comfortable grinding/fitting the stock sear, this works just as well.
We have observed that the vast majority of folks that upgrade, either can't, or don't want to cut on the stock parts.Comment
